Dr. B.S. Das

Born on 25th October 1928, Dr. (Prof.) B. Das did his medical graduation from Prince of Wales Medical College, Patna in 1995 with honours in Pathology. Subsequently he did his Master in General Surgery (1959) and Orthopaedics (1964). He worked as demonstrator in Anatomy at Patna Medical College (1959-1963) as registrar in Orthopaedics, AIIMS, New Delhi (1963-1967), before joining as Lecturer in Orthopaedics at Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal (1967-1972). He gave his exemplary service as Reader (1972-1974) at Bhopal & as Reader and Head of Department at S.S. Medical College, Rewa (1975-1978). This humble teacher and student of Orthopaedics then took charge as Professor and Head of department at G.R. Medical College, Gwalior (1978) and worked his way to fame till his retirement from active service in the year 1990. Besides enormous academic, professional and personal accomplishments, he is credited for starting MS and D. Ortho. courses at Gwalior (1980). He is the second president of MP Chapter of IOA. He had special interest in spine, hip and polio corrective surgeries. He is person often remembered by all his students as a “Born Teacher” and his keen interest in research work has brought many laurels for the state and Country.

It's my pleasure to invite applications for the prestigious “B.Das Commemoration Lecture”, at MPIOACON 2024,to be held in Bhopal, on 27-29th September 2024.

Guidelines for applying for the same are as follows:

1. The applicant has to be a life member of M.P. Chapter I.O.A. & should be registered for MPIOACON 2024.

2. The age of the applicant has to be 50yrs or below.

3. The last date for submitting the application is 30th July 2024.

The manuscript of the original research work has to be mailed to me on rs_bajoria@yahoo.co.in

Also, please send it on my WhatsApp No 9425341104. These manuscripts will be sent for evaluation & selection to four eminent orthopaedic surgeons out of M.P.
